In September 2025, youth from across India came together for the For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conference, a week-long gathering designed to inspire, uplift, and strengthen young people in their faith and friendships. Beginning on September 29, the conference offered a space for youth to learn, reflect, and grow closer to Jesus Christ.
DOWNLOADTeenagers aged 14–18 participated in devotionals, gospel classes, group activities, and music programs throughout the week. Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the conference aimed to help youth grow spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually, while forming meaningful connections with peers.
DOWNLOADThe theme for FSY 2025, drawn from Doctrine & Covenants 6:36, invited youth to center their lives on Christ:
“Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.”
Many participants shared that the experience brought comfort, guidance, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Harshitha Niranjan Gali, from Hyderabad said, “FSY 2025 was an eye-opening experience. It helped me learn more about the gospel and Jesus Christ, but also helped me become a better version of myself. From the morning gospel study sessions to the talks and music, it felt like stepping away from the world and connecting with the Lord.”
Jonathan Melchez Akula, from Vizag, added, “FSY helped me find answers to my questions. It strengthened my trust in the Savior’s plan and taught me the importance of understanding and bringing joy to others.”
DOWNLOADYouth were organized into small groups called companies, each led by young adult counselors who guided discussions, activities, and shared their own experiences and testimonies. The daily schedule balanced gospel instruction with recreation and team-building games, allowing youth to grow while having fun. Church leaders from across India also attended, sharing messages of hope, love, and encouragement.
Throughout the week, President Thomas S. Monson’s words resonated with many: “When we choose Christ, we choose hope. Look to Him in every thought. He will direct your paths and strengthen you to face whatever comes.” The conference reflected this principle, as youth shared stories of finding strength, clarity, and confidence through Christ-centered choices.
DOWNLOADFSY 2025 created an environment where young people could step away from everyday pressures, reflect on what matters most, and feel closer to Jesus Christ. Many returned home with stronger testimonies, lasting friendships, and renewed confidence to follow Him with faith instead of fear.
